Paul Jackson, a key part of the Pengrowth Management Limited Business Development Team for over 17 years, was instrumental in acquiring many of the large building blocks for Pengrowth. The Weyburn Unit, Judy Creek & Swan Hills Units and many other core acquisitions are attributed to Paul. Through his private company, Wapiti Resources Ltd. he accomplished many other major transactions such as the sale of Pennzoil Canada to Gulf. Paul has over 40 years of exploration and development experience as a Professional Geologist and held senior management positions with Amoco Canada, Canadian Hunter, (Exploration Manager) and Co-Enerco Resources Ltd. (Vice President of Exploration and Land). Business Development skills were honed during his tenure as Canadian Division Representative to parent Amoco Production US and to Standard Oil of Indiana in Chicago. Paul brings a combination of geology, economics and the proven ability to source, evaluate and close the transactions. He has contributed to the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board as advisor and committee member. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Geology, Chemistry), from the University of Calgary, is a Medal of Merit winner from the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists, has taken the Banff School of Management Advanced Management program and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
